The Bible is rooted culturally, historically, and religiously in the ancient Israelite society, which was patriarchal. This affected greatly how women were portrayed in the Bible. In this talk, Shlomo Karni will examine several of these sung and unsung heroines. In each case, he will review the relevant biblical narrative, followed by some personal observations.
