Steve Surowitz, an attorney and retired FBI Special Agent, will present a powerpoint talk to provide practical advice on situational awareness and how to save yourself and others in an active attacker situation in an house of worship, workplace, or public venue where people congregate, or if you have an home invasion. Steve has a security consulting business serving faith-based organizations and congregations, Department of Energy National Labs (including Sandia National Labs and Los Alamos National Labs) and does site assessment for security enhancements. He is an expert witness for the Department of Justice on use of force. As a Special Agent, Steve was on SWAT, worked terrorism and national security cases, and was a Chief Division Counsel and supervisor.
