With the rise in antisemitism in the United States and the current political atmosphere, why is Holocaust education so important today? How can Holocaust education help us live better lives, cultivate empathy and understanding, and enable us to become upstanders when we see conflict and trouble in our lives and in the world? We will discuss these questions and more with Scott Littky, the Executive Director of the Institute for Holocaust Education in Omaha, Nebraska. The IHE provides educational resources, workshops, survivor testimony, and integrated arts programming to students, educators, and the public. Scott is a trained Yad Vashem educator and has worked as a Jewish educator and education director for over 35 years.
