Dave Joseph (Ruthie Maayan’s brother) will join us on WEDNESDAY evening, Nov. 4 to share stories from his work and talk about how we may have helpful, respectful, constructive and curious conversations about differences of politics, religion, race, views on abortion, gender, class, immigration status and many other divisive topics. Dave has an MSW, is a Senior Associate at Essential Partners (https://whatisessential.org/ ) and has helped individuals, communities, non-profits, congregations, and universities conduct difficult conversations. He has provided dialogue trainings and consultation in the US, Canada, Romania, Nigeria, Greece, Burundi, Thailand and Liberia. A founding member of Mediators Beyond Borders International, Dave currently serves the the Chair of its Board.
Join us on Wednesday to learn practical skills you can use to bridge divides, reduce “emotional hijacking” and enhance your resilience to engage constructively in difficult conversations in ways that preserve relationships and community. For more information, call 505-856-1231.
